In Santa Teresa Gallura, «already given the number of permanent inhabitants, including the hamlets and municipal areas, the current number of ATMs and postcards is insufficient, creating quite a few inefficiencies»; MP Dario Giagoni (Lega) reported it to ministers Giorgetti and Urso with a question. Let alone during the summer period when in the municipality, "which has just over five thousand inhabitants, there are still thousands of presences linked to the tourism-hospitality-artisan and commercial sector".

Located in the north-eastern end of Sardinia and overlooking the Strait of Bonifacio, «Santa Teresa is a privileged destination for visitors and tourists (not only in summer): thanks to its geographical location, in fact, it is also the island's gateway to Corsica, through daily maritime connections between the “Longonsardo” international port and the port of Bonifacio».

Dario Giagoni therefore asks the ministers of Economy and Finance (Giorgetti) and of Enterprise and Made in Italy (Urso) what actions, «in conjunction with local authorities and the credit system», they intend to undertake, underlining how the continuity of postal and banking services must be guaranteed all year round, throughout the territory, in a widespread and homogeneous manner. "Because in the absence of withdrawals from ATMs it is absurd, for example, that customers should also be forced to pay for a coffee with a debit card and that merchants in turn should pay a commission."
