A delegation visits Ecomondo, the sustainability fair: the aim is to find innovative ideas and inspiration

The Municipality of Santa Maria Coghinas in Rimini for Ecomondo , the most important sustainability fair at a national level which this year reached record numbers with a number of presences plus 5 percent national and plus 4 international.
The occasion was important for a municipality like Santa Maria Coghinas, immersed in an uncontaminated territory, with which it interacts and has the objective of protecting. The surveys and forecasts say so: sustainability is at the center of emergencies and of every future strategy, for businesses, but also for administrations that show sensitivity towards a world that must change its approach by strengthening the circular economy.
At Ecomondo 2024, the international event dedicated to the green and circular economy that ended yesterday at the Rimini Fair, 1,620 exhibiting brands arrived, occupying 166,000 square meters in the exhibition center , a meeting place for technological innovation of companies, the world of research, professionals in the sector and international delegations who participated in over 200 conferences and workshops on the topic.
A delegation of administrators from Santa Maria Coghinas wanted to be present at this meeting to evaluate the numerous solutions proposed, also in terms of machinery and equipment , which can enhance the “recycling and disposal” system adaptable to the town of Santa Maria Coghinas .
Specifically, in terms of agricultural equipment and innovations in the sector, the administrators went to Eima, the International Exhibition of Machinery for Agriculture and Gardening in Bologna, to evaluate the purchase of technologically advanced machinery to improve the efficiency of the existing cleaning and decoration service.
"Our municipality is becoming more and more "touristic" - explains Mayor Pietro Carbini - it is our duty to evaluate the impact on the territory and ensure both citizens and visitors a decorum and constant cleanliness, as well as guaranteeing a service in step with the times".
Deputy Mayor Marco Demontis is of the same opinion: «The opportunity to participate in events like these gives us considerable food for thought about the town of Santa Maria Coghinas in a few years. We must already think about how to enhance our town that has a unique natural heritage in which we live and we are also betting on tourism».
