A 1.4 million euro project for the renovation of two important roads in Sant'Antioco and for the removal of architectural barriers.

We are talking about the very central viale Trento, in the stretch between via Fra Ignazio and viale Risorgimento, and via Garibaldi .

The tender for the restyling of viale Trento was announced in recent days: the project is worth 700 thousand euros, the same amount will be used for the renovation of via Garibaldi. All funds from the PNRR.

«An important work of breaking down the architectural barriers on two very central and important city arteries – explains the Mayor Ignazio Locci -. In viale Trento we will soon see the opening of the construction site, in via Garibaldi the offices will close the provision by 31 March 2023 ».

The Councilor for Public Works Francesco Garau explains in detail what the two projects consist of: "We proceed with the removal of architectural barriers through the reconstruction of the existing sidewalks and the adjustment of the road widths and pedestrian paths , with the partial reconfiguration of the parking on the roadside".

Also planned are " the completion and improvement of the rainwater disposal network , which is currently unable to dispose of the water that accumulates even in the event of low rainfall".

And again, adaptation of the public lighting network , «today unsightly and not very functional»
