Accident this morning, around 6am, on state road 197 in the San Gavino Monreale area. For reasons yet to be ascertained, a car, a Marea Station Wagon, ended up on the roundabout that runs alongside the San Gavino Monreale cemetery .

Fortunately , the driver from Villacidro was not injured, but was taken as a precaution to the San Gavino Monreale hospital for checks .

The Carabinieri from the Villacidro mobile radio unit and a patrol from Sardara immediately arrived on site and helped bring traffic back to normal to avoid further accidents given the darkness of the hour. Now it remains to reconstruct the dynamics of the accident in a state road dotted with often fatal accidents.
