A pall of Saharan dust envelops Sardinia. But things are worse in Corsica, where an alert has been issued for today, and in Southern France, where the landscape has turned ocher, also due to the rains, which have brought the African silt to the ground.

On the island, also thanks to good ventilation, the phenomenon only resulted in a milky atmosphere, which reduced visibility over long distances and "greyed" the day before Easter. However, the reflections of light in the sea areas are fascinating.

In Corsica, however, the Qualitair Corse association has warned the population about the dangers deriving from the intensity of the phenomenon: in a communication issued yesterday it was explained that « particle measurements are increasing sharply today and will affect the whole of Corsica. The alert threshold will be exceeded for the entire region. The episode is expected to persist throughout the weekend."
