The bridge over the Rio San Girolamo located in via Europa in Capoterra was demolished this morning. The works are part of the project to make the area safe , carried out by the Region after the flood of 22 October 2008.
The time schedule foresees the demolition of another bridge, the one on the state road 195, at the height of Su Loi.
At the same time as the elimination of the old viaducts that prevented the regular flow of water from the Rio San Girolamo and Masone Ollastu, the construction of the two new bridges on the sea side of Strada Statale 195 continues.
Great inconvenience for pedestrians : after the closure of the sidewalks of the stretch of road that has become a construction site, it is impossible to move on foot to go from one subdivision to another between Torre degli Ulivi and Frutti d'Oro.
