Young students at a safety lesson at sea to prevent risks when bathing. The staff of the Port Authority of Porto Torres met the students of the “Don Antonio Sanna” Comprehensive Institute 2 in the council room of the Municipality of Stintino.

The event organized by "Comes libraries" opened with greetings from the mayor Rita Vallebella who reiterated the institutional synergy between the two administrations, an added value for the territory. The daily work of the Coast Guard was illustrated to the students, the importance of safety at sea and the rules to be respected for safe bathing, the means supplied to the Port Authority and the institutional tasks carried out.

The conference was also an opportunity for practical tests for the students who participated in the simulations of emergency calls and the methods of requesting intervention from the authorities in charge in the event of an emergency. The participation and involvement of the small interlocutors testifies to the commitment of the Turritana Captaincy and the close collaboration with schools to raise the awareness of future generations on the issues of prevention against potential pitfalls.
