Less than three weeks ago, the tragedy in front of the school with the death of Beatrice Loi , the 17-year-old hit by a car while crossing the street to go to class.
Now the protest: Friday in Cagliari in viale Colombo, pine forest side, next to the Leon Battista Alberti institute, students will form a human chain on the pedestrian crossing. A march is planned to Piazza dei Centomila. And there they will make noise with speeches on the megaphone and whistles. The demonstration will end in Piazza Bonaria at 12.
"We invite all students of Cagliari, parents, citizens and anyone who wants to say No to this shameful lack of safety - is the appeal launched by the students of Alberti, Beatrice's high school - Join us, because together we can make the change begin. None of us can tolerate recurring accidents and continuous tragedies any longer".
The students ask for "adequate controls, speed bumps or traffic lights, because every crossing is an unacceptable risk . Immediate interventions, not only for our school, but for all the schools in Cagliari. Protecting students must no longer be optional".
