Twenty-five buoys have been positioned in the stretch of water of Porto Torres. The intervention was made possible thanks to the initiative started by the Nautica Turritana amateur association "Amare il mare", on the basis of an agreement with the Municipality of Porto Torres which supplied the materials necessary for the positioning of the buoys for seaside safety, as provided for in the matter by the specific ordinances of the Autonomous Region of Sardinia and the Port Authority.

«Despite the rather rough sea, it was possible to position about 25 buoys in the sea, - explained Giorgio Ponti, president of Nautica Turritana - starting from the waters of Renaredda up to those of Balai Lontano, at a distance of about one hundred meters from each other". The operation was carried out by volunteers from the association, assisted by the Mooring and Boatmen group of Porto Torres, who made their professionalism and a large work boat available. The buoys will remain in the sea, to safeguard the safety of bathers, until the end of October and will then be repositioned in the water from April to October of each year.
