The journey of Saboris Antigus 2025, the circuit celebrating the traditions, flavors, and excellence of Sardinia's towns, continues. Following the success of previous stages, the event will take place in Guasila on Sunday, December 7th, with a day entirely dedicated to rediscovering traditions, culture, and conviviality. The program will begin at 8:00 a.m. with Holy Mass at the Sanctuary of the Blessed Virgin of the Assumption, followed by a second Mass at 10:00 a.m. From 10:00 a.m., the Infopoint and the food and wine trail will open, featuring displays by artisans, merchants, and hobbyists, and demonstrations of ancient crafts, which will enliven the town center until 6:00 p.m.
The first guided tours of the historic center and the "Riu sa Mela" domus de janas (house of the dead) will depart from Piazza Municipio at 10:30 a.m. Reservations are required at the information point. The morning will be accompanied by traditional music from Su Cunzertu Antigu. At the same time, a children's reading workshop hosted by the Municipal Library will be held in Piazza De Gasperi, while the Sabores de Beranu group will perform in Piazza Trexenta. Also starting at 10:30 a.m., the Orchestra Popolare Sarda will enliven the town streets with a roving musical entertainment. Younger visitors can participate in the "Mani in pasta" workshop led by Alessandro Falchi at 11 a.m. in the municipal parking lot, while at 11:15 a.m., the Teatro dei Fratelli Medas in Piazza Municipio will host a traditional women's dress dressing ceremony hosted by the Su Zinnibiri San Pietro association.
At 11:30 a.m., again from the Infopoint, new guided tours will depart, including a cooking show with Chef Pierpaolo Argiolu, hosted by Raimondo Mandas: a chance to taste a traditional dish paired with wines from Cantina Argiolas. After the roving choir "Coro Polifonico Cantos de Jara di Gesturi" (at 11:30 a.m., between Piazza Pertini, Via Roma, and Piazza Trexenta) and the tours at 12:30 p.m., the day will continue with a lunch break at one of the inns and refreshment stands at 1:00 p.m., once again accompanied by the roving music of the Orchestra Popolare Sarda and a concert by Su Cunzertu Antigu in Piazza Municipio. In the afternoon, starting at 2:30 pm, children's reading workshops and guided tours will resume, while at 3:30 pm, the traveling show of Sardinian masks, "Is Scruzzonis," by Siurgus Donigala, will depart from Piazza Pertini. Further tours are also scheduled at 3:30 pm and 4:30 pm, and in Piazza Municipio, a concert by Cordas et Cannas with a tasting of typical products.
The day will culminate at 6:00 PM with a musical fireworks display, followed at 6:30 PM by the final moment of celebration with dancing in the square and music by Poesias. With the Guasila stop, Saboris Antigus 2025 renews its mission of enhancing local communities through the arts, flavors, and traditions that represent the most authentic Sardinia.
