When solidarity calls, the Lussurgese community always responds. Mindful of the help received after the great fire three years ago, the Lussurgese shepherds did not hesitate for a moment to give concrete help to their colleagues in Orune, who this year, unfortunately, experienced the same disaster.
Thirty-eight large round bales, a concrete and distinctive sign of sa paradura lussurgese, left this morning in the direction of the Barbagia center and destined for local breeders. The Compagnia Barracellare of Santu Lussurgiu took care of the solidarity collection while two private companies from Lussurgese made their trucks available for transport. The captain of the barracelli Francesco Serra: «It was our duty to provide this support for those who suffered damage, we cannot forget those who helped us in our time of need. This is the first trip but we are planning at least one more to deliver a further load of fodder».

The municipality of Orune represented by the councilor for agriculture Fabrizio Chessa and councilor Giovanni Mura thanked the Lussurgese community, making a pact of friendship with it that will last over time.
