Upon landing, she suffered violent convulsions : an ambulance was called this afternoon at Elmas airport to assist a 36-year-old Sardinian woman who felt ill on board a Ryanair plane that had just arrived from Genoa.
The patient had traveled to undergo a medical examination and was returning home when the emergency arose on board. The rescuers - not medical personnel from the airport - provided first aid in the cabin and then transferred her to Brotzu. Here she was taken care of by the hospital staff .
