The internal reorganization of Arnas Brotzu involves the appointment of new department directors. The resolution was signed today by general director Agnese Foddis.

The tasks were assigned to Gianluca Borelli (Technical Department), Antonio Macvò (Surgical Oncology), Raffaele Barbara (Care of Oncological Diseases), Emiliano Cirio (Cardio-Vascular); Andrea Solinas (Surgical), Simone Comelli (Neurological and Rehabilitation), Giuseppe Dessì (Emergency-Urgency), Paolo Siotto (Advanced Diagnostics and Services), Antonello Pani (Internal Medicine), Luigi Mascia (Maternal-Child).

The designation of department directors, explains Brotzu, «represents a further step forward in the organizational strengthening of a complex machine, which employs over three thousand employees and which, on a daily basis, ensures assistance to patients coming from all over the regional territory».

The departments, governed with temporary roles since July 2023, "required stable and responsible management", guaranteeing the quality of the hospital services provided. Made up of departments, aggregated by relationship, for the identification of their directors, steps were taken to apply the regulation, approved in March 2023, which provides for a rigorous process: «The provisional directors were asked to convene their respective committees to the installation of the members and the communication of the three directors of a complex structure (departments) for the consequent appointment of the department directors".

The competitions held in the last two years, preparatory to the identification of department directors, have allowed Arnas Brotzu to guarantee stability and continuity in assistance through the appointment of over twenty facility directors.
