From today the Areus air rescue has two new landing areas within the experimental and joint training range of Salto di Quirra .
This is what is foreseen in the agreement stipulated between the Sardinia Region and the Air Force , an agreement that will allow the regional emergency company to ensure rapid medical assistance also in the territories of Perdasdefogu and Villaputzu , areas not equipped to provide a connection on wheels fast enough with local hospitals.
With the use of the shooting range areas , frequent "off-field" landings are also avoided, which are particularly dangerous due to the morphology of the territory . The helipad can be used both day and night and makes the rescue of the Areus helicopter rescue team 118 fully operational.
