«The notices of assessment notified in recent days, which the Company, in fulfilling its contractual obligations signed on 15 June 2023 with the previous Municipal Administration, provided for the obligation for the undersigned to issue no later than 31 August 2024, - explains Monfardino - it should also be noted that the number of notices issued refers to a minority group, compared to the generality of taxpayers who have instead regularly and promptly fulfilled their tax obligation».

The director of Secal, Cristoforo Scanu, also took part in the council commission meeting to discuss the problem, confirming that 9,300 notices were delivered, compared to 30 thousand registered taxpayers.

"83 percent concerns non-payment, total or partial or late" and only 17 percent of taxpayers have omitted areas, paying less on their bills. In total, Secal expects to collect about six million euros, in addition to 30 percent of fines .
