Bad weather in Abruzzo is causing problems for passengers arriving from Sardinia. Two flights to Pescara Airport were diverted due to a downpour and strong winds that hit the Adriatic city.

The Ryanair flight from Cagliari to Pescara, which took off at 12:25 PM from Elmas Airport and was scheduled to land at 1:35 PM, was diverted to Brindisi Airport . It arrived at the Puglia airport around 2:20 PM. The airline will now rebook the passengers, who will presumably be transferred to Abruzzo by bus.

In addition to the flight from Sardinia, the WizzAir flight from Tirana to Pescara was also diverted : it was due to land at 2.40 pm, but it had to be moved to Ancona airport.
