Cooling of the atmosphere with maximum temperatures slightly decreasing, rain and thunderstorms.

The regional Civil Protection has issued a yellow weather alert for hydrogeological risk which this afternoon affects half of Sardinia .

From 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM, rain and thunderstorms are possible in the southern and central-western parts of the island . Specifically, the severe weather will affect the Cagliari area, Sulcis, Medio Campidano, Oristano, and the Nuoro hinterland . The eastern and northern parts of the island are excluded.

This instability is expected to continue throughout Thursday, while over the weekend, starting from the Centre-North, we will see the reconsolidation of the Azores High , which will restore stable and sunny weather conditions.

The alert also applies to Cagliari, where the Municipal Civil Protection Department has identified streets in the Pirri area where parking is prohibited. These streets are: Balilla, from Piazza Italia to Via Dandolo and its intersections; Italia; Dolianova; Sinnai; Settimo; Mara; Donori; Santorre Di Santarosa; Confalonieri; Ampere, and the safe parking area near the Terramaini municipal swimming pool on Via Pisano. The Administration reiterates its call to residents to exercise caution and follow the updates on the official Cagliari Municipality channels.
