He went around at night in the San Giuseppe area of Sassari, smashing the windows of parked cars and then raiding the cockpits of valuable objects.

After several shots, last night the officers of the local police command of Sassari surprised him and arrested him.

The serial thief is a man resident in Sassari. An officer noticed him around 11pm, in via Calvia, near the art institute, while he was having a heated discussion with a girl, the latest victim of his thefts. At that point the policeman blocked him and, after the arrival of his colleagues, the man was taken to the headquarters.

Here the backpack he had with him was opened and thus, in addition to burglary tools, numerous objects removed from the cars visited emerged, including a satellite navigator and items of clothing.

At least a dozen parked cars that the man allegedly damaged, breaking the windows, and then robbed . But, as mentioned, investigations continue both to identify possible accomplices and to understand whether the man could be responsible for other thefts carried out in the area in recent times.

For the moment he has been transferred to Bancali prison on the orders of the judicial authorities.
