The technical report on access to data on the university career of the president of the Region of Sardinia, Christian Solinas, does not enter the process. Under indictment are seven employees of the University of Sassari , accused of abusive access to a computer system for having consulted the governor's card in 2019, following the controversy over his university career.
This was decided by judge Antonio Pietro Spanu at the end of the hearing that took place this morning, during which the assistant chief of the Sassari postal police who carried out the investigations on behalf of the prosecutor was heard as a witness indicated by the prosecutor.
The report presented in the courtroom by the deputy prosecutor Simone Sassu, and explained by the chief assistant, was produced by Cineca, the inter-university consortium that manages the computer network of the University of Sassari.
After the opposition of the defendants' defenders, the document was not admitted to the file: the judge considered that it was an endoprocedural document with specialist evaluations functional to the proof of the fact, for which transit in the hearing file is excluded.
Instead, the copy of the article published by the Fatto Quotidiano which highlighted Solinas' university career was admitted to the records.
The defendants are Michele Meloni, Luigi Antonio Catogno, Paolo Deledda, Franca Carmela Sanna, Barbara Pes, Laura Mureddu and Liana Carboni. Solinas entered a civil action with the lawyer Salvatore Casula, while the defendants are defended by the lawyers Elias Vacca, Teresa Pes, Nicola Satta, Sebastiano Chironi, Nanni Campus, Maurizio Serra, Nicola Satta, Camilla Pirino, Nicola Andrea Oggiano.
The trial was adjourned to June 27 due to the deposition of another witness cited by the Public Prosecutor's Office, the former director general of the University of Sassari, Cristiano Nicoletti, who is now excused absent.
