He demanded money for the supply of cocaine and, not receiving it, set fire to his alleged debtor's car.

It happened in August 2024 in Stintino , and today, in court in Sassari, a 66-year-old man was sentenced to two years, three months, and three days, handed down by Judge Sergio De Luca. According to the charges, the defendant had demanded payment of approximately €1,800 from drug sales, first from the victim's mother and her partner, attempting extortion, and then directly from the man .

On the day of the fire, the 66-year-old man had shown up at the victim's home, demanding to leave, using threatening language. Later, according to the indictment, he drove to the Pozzo San Nicola gas station, filled a gas can, returned to the victim's home, and set his car on fire.

Prosecutor Erica Angioni requested a two-year prison sentence and a €2,800 fine, while the plaintiff's lawyer, Daniele Solinas, requested €16,500 in damages.

The preliminary hearing judge, as written, sentenced the defendant to two years, three months and three days in prison, a €1,900 fine, and €16,500 in damages for the civil plaintiff, in addition to legal costs.
