Alcohol, (soft) drugs, fights. And noise, until late at night. "So-called movida" defines it the prefect of Cagliari, Giuseppe De Matteis. Which after complaints and arrests for violence and a shower of complaints and reports from residents of the historic center districts, now gathered in increasingly aggressive committees, has decided to set up a "Monitoring Group" on the negative aspects of the phenomenon.
The first meeting is scheduled for next week. Meanwhile, it is announced that "alongside the classic strategy of containing nighttime entertainment", i.e. recourse to the forces of order, "the need has emerged to prepare innovative strategies and effective solutions in terms of nighttime management of youth entertainment scenarios".
For this reason, around the table in Piazza Palazzo there will not only be representatives of the police forces (Questura, Carabinieri, Guardia di Finanza and Municipale), but also representatives of trade associations (Confesercenti, Fipe Confcommercio, top management of natural shopping centres). . The representatives of the committees will also be part of the new body: «We will present ourselves as coordination, united», announces Enrico Marras, who leads the No Thanks Noise group of the Navy. Because the residents claim that they all have the same problem, even in Castello, Stampace and Villanova.
"Some behaviours", underlines the prefect in the decree establishing the monitoring group , "are taking on different and sometimes worrying connotations, also due to the ever-increasing diffusion of illegal substances and alcoholic beverages, often purchased outside the neighborhoods concerned".
