“I was duped by an online shopper and 3,000 euros disappeared from my ATM”.

A 72-year-old woman from Gonnesa recently filed a complaint against unknown persons at the Iglesias Police Station. The odyssey began on September 24, when the woman posts a sales ad on a popular online sales and shopping site.

"Having bought new ones, we wanted to sell two containers for wine - he says - we were immediately contacted by a man. He says he is interested in buying and we agree on the price. To collect the payment, he tells me, I have to go to a ATM and follow the instructions he would have given me over the phone ".

First stop at the post office, the woman types following the instructions of the buyer, then he asks her to move to an ATM in Carbonia to complete the operation: but in no case the collection is successful. The lady is assailed by doubts, she rushes to block the card. Unfortunately, however, it is too late: the following Monday he discovers a series of transactions in the bank, with a balance equal to zero.

"I was deceived, 2998 euros evaporated. I should never have done those operations, nor provide the pin - the lady now says - I filed a complaint with the Police, providing the man's phone number, the accent was not Sardinian . I hope they will be able to track him down. I tell this story as a warning to other people: you have to be very careful and under no circumstances reveal your pin. "
