The latest alarming report has reached the Tempio magistrates in recent weeks and refers to alleged requests for "lace" addressed to traders in Olbia. Then there are the interceptions, numerous and with a unique meaning, which confirm the interest of Campania entrepreneurs contiguous to the Camorra (monitored by the Ros dei Carabinieri and by various Dda) for restaurants and hotels in the coastal Gallura. The list could go on with the alleged screened activities (in Olbia) of the 'ndrina Bonavota and the Albano clan of Scafati (Salerno). Olbia and Gallura are heavily exposed to the risk of infiltration by the mafia. The attorney general Luigi Patronaggio said this in recent days in Rome, during the meeting called at the Ministry of Justice on the subject of the establishment of the Court of Olbia. Patronaggio was arguing his position on the future structures of the Gallura judicial geography, but, in reality, he said something that goes well beyond the issue of the location of the Court. Something that must be evaluated and considered with the utmost attention, because Patronaggio is a magistrate who has seen the Cosa Nostra in the face and his words are not fresh water. The Attorney General spoke openly about "the shift of criminal interests to Olbia" and the "criminal centrality" of the Gallura city. Furthermore, Patronaggio referred to "infiltrations" of organized crime.

Not just cocaine

Patronaggio spoke of data and information in his possession that go beyond the numerous investigations by the Cagliari DDA on organizations trafficking cocaine in Northern Sardinia. These are mainly groups linked to the Camorra and 'Ndrangheta. But the theme is another. It is clear that in Olbia there are (and on a permanent basis) subjects that deal with profitable activities (real estate sector) and the acquisition of companies in various sectors, including companies in a pre-bankruptcy state. Some Dda of the Peninsula have identified operations aimed at expanding the range of action of exponents of Calabrian clans in the Olbian and Gallura economy. Another worrying phenomenon is the activity of family members of inmates who have passed through the high security prison of Nuchis. The words of Patronaggio are the confirmation of a situation that is evolving rapidly, and not for the better, favored by the crisis of many companies from Olbia and Gallura.
