Quartucciu, seventeen years old tries to hang himself in his cell: saved by the agents

He attempted suicide in his cell in the Quartucciu juvenile prison but was fortunately saved by prison police officers.
The protagonist of the dramatic episode is a seventeen year old of Moroccan origin. The news was announced by the general secretary of the Fns Cisl Sardinia, Giovanni Villa.
According to the unionist's account, the policemen on duty were patrolling when they noticed that the boy was dangling from the noose of a sheet tied to the bars of his bedroom window.
The call to 118 was immediate: the rescuers intervened, but there was no need for hospitalization.
"Silent heroes save yet another life in a penitentiary institution", says Villa, "we can only congratulate them on the hope that these gestures will no longer repeat themselves. Our work leads us to never lower our attention and therefore to always be vigilant about what happens in the detention sections. Minor prisoners are the most fragile and therefore attention must be increased tenfold ”.
