In the heart of Sant'Isidoro , the wait is over: everything is ready for the third edition of “Su Pannu 'e Santu Perdu” , the spectacular equestrian event which, until the 1990s, took place near Lake Simbirizzi , where skilled knights challenged each other in breathtaking races to win the coveted banner dedicated to the Saint.

After years of hiatus, this event has come back to life, albeit with a new look .

Elisabetta Contini, Quartucciu's culture councilor, emphasizes the historical importance of this celebration: "The history of Su Pannu 'E Santu Perdu has its roots in ancient times and its revival in recent editions, even if in a different form than in the past, confirms the precious attachment to an important part of Quartucciu's history. We have preserved the tradition of the race until about twenty years ago, a real equestrian competition that marks the deep bond of our city with the world of horses".

This year's edition with a rich program that will open on Sunday afternoon at 3 pm . In the suggestive setting of the Puddu farm, the teams from different locations in Sardinia - Ovodda, Assemini, Oristano, Castiadas, San Vero Milis, Cabras and Silì - will perform acrobatic evolutions on horseback, accompanied by the engaging rhythm of the Drummers and Trumpeters of the ProLoco of Oristano.

But it won't just be an event for horse lovers: from 5:30 p.m., the Sant'Isidoro agri-food center will open its doors to the public for a food and wine tour of excellence, with a food & beverage corner set up by local producers from the Sant'Isidoro Rural District and the Pro Loco of Quartucciu. And for those who want to end the evening in style, from 6:30 p.m. "Blues & Beer" will offer a tasting of craft beers accompanied by live music, creating a perfect fusion between tradition and modernity.
