Shortage of chairmen? The mayor, Pietro Pisu , takes care of Quartucciu and launches the appeal: «AAA presidents wanted». Pisu, faced with the difficulty of finding among those registered on the municipal register, "people with adequate preparation and available to take on the role at any time", has prepared an expression of interest "necessary to recruit a suitable number of people who are really interested to carry out the role of seat president for the next European elections", scheduled for 8 and 9 June. A choice dictated by the lack, during the recent regional electoral consultations, of personnel to set up the polling station. The Municipality of Quartucciu faced a series of last-minute defections which put both the Court of Appeal and the Municipality itself in great difficulty in finding people capable of taking over.

«The register of polling station presidents is currently made up of around 300 people who have registered over the years but who today are perhaps no longer interested in carrying out this service, given that, scrolling through the list, almost all of them have given up the call ", explains the mayor, "the objective is to find out how many of our fellow citizens are really interested and motivated to carry out this important and delicate service".

You have until May 10th to submit the application, using the appropriate form attached to the notice published on the Municipality's website. The request can be sent either to the certified email address: ufficio.quartucciu@legalmail.it or by hand to the Protocol Office in via Giofra, 1. But the mayor adds: «we invite all those who are part of the register and who are not they are more interested in notifying the municipality's electoral office to be cancelled."
