Following the controversy over traffic problems on Provincial Road 17 during the first bridge just before summer, and the threat of legal action by the Municipality , Terna has granted a halt to the construction work on the Tyrrhenian Link, which has become too impactful on the Quartu coastal road, which is increasingly crowded with swimmers and holidaymakers heading towards the seaside resorts .

Starting tomorrow, the Municipality announced, Terna's construction sites along Provincial Road 17 in the Quartu area will be suspended, allowing normal traffic flow in both lanes. This decision is the result of a fruitful institutional dialogue between the municipal administration, which intervened promptly, and Terna, the company responsible for the ongoing works on the road, which has also demonstrated its genuine sensitivity to the inconvenience reported by road users.

" Terna has ensured the suspension of construction activities starting this weekend and throughout the coming months of June , guaranteeing maximum institutional cooperation and contributing to safety and traffic flow during peak traffic periods, typical of the summer months," Mayor Graziano Milia announced. "The company is committed to meeting the needs of the local area. I welcome the promptness and sensitivity shown towards the inconveniences reported in our area. Residents and tourists will therefore be able to spend this weekend in peace and safety. This is the result of a constructive dialogue between institutions, demonstrating how honest and direct discussion can lead to concrete and rapid solutions. The suspension of construction activities," Milia concludes, "is a measure to protect safety and mobility along one of the main roads in the area."
