The general manager dismisses his predecessor at the helm of Arnas Brotzu. Maurizio Marcias has revoked the resolution that kept Agnese Foddis in charge of purchasing at Sardinia's main healthcare center.

The measure, adopted in March 2025, extended the employment of some company executives until their seventieth birthday. Two days ago, it was amended, but only partially: regarding Foddis. The former manager, having learned of Marcias's decision in early August, attempted to oppose it and assert her rights to remain in office.

Among the complaints, she also spoke of a "misuse of power." Foddis doesn't say that the about-face on her tenure was prompted by her having challenged Marcias's appointment before the President of the Republic. That, therefore, there would be personal grudges. But she emphasized that doubts about the decision that ousted her stem from "the convergence of this circumstance and the lack of a clear identification of actual events." Foddis had been asked to provide mentoring for the newcomer who would succeed her in managing Brotzu's sensitive purchasing department. The current general management has maintained that the department could be headed by someone drawn from a ranking created by a process initiated in 2024. Therefore, the former general manager's contribution is no longer essential. However, according to the opposition, the ranking was in place even at the time of the extension of her recently revoked appointment.

Therefore, there would be no new, legally valid evidence to justify Marcias's recent decision. The "defensive" argument, however, was rejected by Arnas's legal department. Now the matter could be decided (again) by the judges.
