The project to complete the churchyard of San Giovanni Evangelista is going ahead. The Council chaired by Mayor Graziano Milia has approved the final feasibility project: the sums will be advanced by the administration, pending refinancing by the Region.

The green light to the definitive technical-economic feasibility project of the parvis and accesses to the Church of San Giovanni Evangelista, in Pit'z e Serra, for an amount equal to 236 thousand euros, is a further step towards delivering to the city and faithful a place of worship awaited for decades. The object of the design will be the entrances to the religious building including the large entrance staircase, refinanced in 2018 by the Region of Sardinia and never used so far.

Another important administrative "game" is unlocked, which after going through various phases, since last year had been taken over by the executive of the third largest city on the island: pending the reprogramming of resources by the Region, the administration, with resolution of the Municipal Council number 106 of 10.26.2022, through the application of the administration surplus, had specifically allocated the sum of 236,416.00 euros to cover the total amount necessary to carry out the intervention. Previously, in November 2021, the Preliminary Design Document and the Determination of the fees by the Rup had been approved, both subject to the extension of the terms of eligibility of the resources by the Region, on the one hand, and on the other to the formal feedback from the Curia in relation to the availability of the areas affected by the works envisaged in the design document. Availability punctually arrived at the end of 2021, with a document from the Parish of San Giovanni Evangelista, in which the same communicated that it was willing to withdraw from the legal concession of the surface of the areas granted at the time by the administration, giving authorization for the construction of the planned works.
