Two of them attacked and beat him bloody in the holiday home where he was staying. At least that's what a 49-year-old man who ended up in hospital last night with some wounds to his face and limbs told the police. The man's life is not in danger. He arrived at the Santissima Trinità in Cagliari, where the 118 staff took him, with a yellow code.

It was just after 9pm when the victim, according to his story, opened the door to the room in the "Tormas" holiday home, behind Lake Simbirizzi, along the Nostra Signora Buoncammino municipal road.

His identity is unknown and neither were the reasons why he was in that apartment in Quartu known yesterday immediately after the beating. Putting together the few known elements, we only know that the attack has the flavour of a punitive expedition.

It was the 49-year-old himself who called 118 to ask for help and reported that he had been beaten by two people.
