The last piece, hopefully, before the long-awaited rebirth of the former industrial complex on Via Brigata Sassari, destined to become a hub of services for citizens with an annexed residential complex at subsidized rent. Today the tender for the construction and management of the social housing properties, 75 units in total, was published.

Specifically, the procedure concerns the assignment of the executive design, construction and subsequent management of the properties intended for subsidized publishing, as well as the co-working spaces and services connected to the residence, as part of the redevelopment of the industrial complex that has been abandoned for years.

The expected duration of the concession is 25 years and in addition to the redevelopment works it includes the management of the social housing service by the successful tenderer. The estimated value of the concession is approximately 20 million.

In the meantime, there is a race against time to realize the public part of the municipal project regarding the redevelopment of the Fornaci Picci. The one where services for the city and coworking are planned, a square, a theater, a museum dedicated to the ancient industrial activity, pedestrian and cycle paths. All already financed with 15 million from the Pnrr, with construction sites that are expected to start soon. "We are engaged in a race against time because, despite all the initial declarations, the complex procedures necessary for these interventions have not only not enjoyed the promised simplifications, but in many ways have been subjected to increased authorizations that have meant a particularly onerous work for our offices", explains the councilor for Urban Planning Aldo Vanini. "Despite this", he specifies, "counting on the collaboration of the operators, who intervene on both the public and private implementation parts, we are confident that we will be able to respect the stringent deadlines imposed by the program".
