An army of over two hundred unemployed Quartesi at the service of the city. All beneficiaries of the Social Inclusion Income, who in exchange for the monthly subsidy financed by the Region will take care of the maintenance of the cemetery, the surveillance of the city parks and gardens, and support the activities in the municipal library.

"An opportunity for job placement for those experiencing difficult situations," explains the Councilor for Social Policies, Marco Camboni, announcing the start of the collective utility plans starting tomorrow.

In fact, these are projects that encourage social inclusion and provide participants with useful skills for a second chance in the world of work.

The Quartesi involved - most of them women - will work from 8 to 16 hours a week, for a maximum of 6 months, in exchange for financial support that is the same as that provided to all Reis beneficiaries. Among the main initiatives planned are support for the cleaning and maintenance of the municipal cemetery and the surveillance of green areas and public parks. Other volunteers will work to support the activities of the libraries, giving a contribution in the enhancement of the city's cultural heritage and in the creation and management of events and exhibitions.
