The Marina di Sorso, a Blue Flag beach for the quality of its bathing water, clean coastline, and tourism and environmental services, faces problems of degradation and lack of access to the sea. Councilor Alfredo Roggio, a member of the Green and Left Alliance and a member of the opposition in the Sorso municipality, highlighted the problems along the coast.

"It's clear that we need to address the state of the seafront access roads along the Sorso coast," Roggio explains, "which present obvious structural issues. In particular, the Porchile area requires permanent structural work to ensure safe transit."

The wooden walkways at Marina di Sorso, severely damaged due to lack of regular maintenance and the effects of the waves, also prevent access to the beach, particularly for those with mobility disabilities.

"While acknowledging the complexity of coastal erosion," the AVS councilor continued, "we are experiencing widespread discomfort along the entire coastline. Therefore, extraordinary planning of interventions is essential, starting next October, to ensure full accessibility of the sites for the 2027 bathing season." Roggio reiterated the principle of social equity, according to which "parking fees must necessarily correspond to the guarantee of efficient services and effective accessibility to the assets."
