A decision - deliberated today by the council - and also taken following the inspection carried out yesterday by the mayor Graziano Milia with the regional councilor for the environment Marco Porcu, together with municipal managers and technicians. "We will use the resources of the contribution to restore the areas affected by the fires, in particular Molentargius".
The future of the park was also at the center of Thursday morning's meeting. “There is full agreement on the need to strengthen the park, its facilities and its personnel,” added Milia.
Then the thanks of the mayor to the volunteers of the Oikos association who yesterday, armed with bags and gloves, organized an extra cleaning along the stretch of cane thicket of via Fiume devoured by flames to remove glass and other dangerous waste left among the ashes.
