The Costa Smeralda owners met with Regional President Alessandra Todde and her deputy, Giuseppe Meloni, in the Province of Olbia. Then, in the afternoon, they visited Arzachena Mayor Roberto Ragnedda in the council chamber of Palazzo Ruzittu.

Various issues are on the table, including tourism, air travel, nautical services, healthcare, transport, and energy, but it's clear that the Qatar Investment Authority has renewed its commitment to revitalizing the world-renowned tourist destination, following the path already blazed by Karim Aga Khan.

"We invested in Sardinia 30 years ago and are proud to see that so much progress has been made, respecting the local culture, traditions, and beauty of the region," said Mohammed Saif Al Sowaidi, CEO of the Qatar Investment Authority. "Now our efforts must focus on supporting and improving the destination by renovating Porto Cervo's hotels to avoid a decline in visitor numbers."
