They will promote the cultural and natural beauties of Porto Torres at the International Scout Gathering to be held in South Korea in the coming days.

The "ambassadors" are Nina Fratus and Rubina Tanca, two explorers of the Cngei scout section of Porto Torres, who received an official investiture from the mayor of Porto Torres Massimo Mulas and the councilor for youth policies Simona Fois , during a meeting attended by the section commissioner Chiara Sechi and the scout leaders Sandra Conti and Maria Antonietta Moro.

The two young women were selected from hundreds of candidates to represent Italy in the Cngei contingent that will participate in the most important gathering of scouting life. The event, entitled Jamboree and organized every four years in a different state of the world, this year will attract around 50,000 girls and boys to Saemangeum Bay, South Korea, to share the traditions of their countries of origin.

In the twelve days of camp, Nina and Rubina will live the motto "Draw your dream" - that of global peace, environmental sustainability, technological development and equality without barriers. Upon their return, they will share their experience with the local section of the Cngei and with the whole city. "Nina and Rubina will leave at the end of a journey that has seen them engaged on the issues of civil rights, solidarity and hospitality - declare the mayor Mulas and the councilor Fois - and we are proud that our city is represented in an international forum by those who are committed to building a community that is always open and in dialogue with those who come from outside. We wish these two young girls to have an unforgettable experience and to return to Porto Torres with a great wealth of stories and ideas».
