Parade of traditional costumes of folk groups officially opened the Palio di Santu Bainzu, the eighth edition of the equestrian joust that takes place along via Mare, in Porto Torres. The parade started from Corso Vittorio Emanuele, was opened by the Etnos Li Bainzini group, followed by costumed groups from Sassari, Valledoria, Castelsardo, Alghero, Mores, Ossi, Sennori, Usini.
On the track, horses with riders and amazons who will participate in the race divided into several heats. An exciting challenge for the participants who will have to hit the greatest number of rings, placed 3 meters high and 40 meters apart, along the 350-meter long sand track.
A game of skill, where at least three descents are planned to be faced to compete for the overall prize money of 3,600 euros. The speaker Giuliano Marongiu will present the event. At the end of each race it will be the turn of the Ittiri, Ovodda and Ollolai teams to perform.
