Twelve garbage disposal vehicles, burned by the fire that broke out in the Sangalli Giancarlo & C. srl warehouse, in the industrial area of Porto Torres , were seized by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Sassari who opened an investigation to shed light on the matter.

The Carabinieri of the provincial command of Sassari, on the orders of the deputy prosecutor, Angelo Beccu, will have to ascertain the causes of the fire that consumed the compactors on the evening of Tuesday 30 April . The area, off limits, will be the subject of an assessment by investigators who will have to ascertain the origin of the flames which broke out around 9.30pm, subsequently put out by the firefighters of the Porto Torres and Sassari detachments, an extinguishing operation which lasted over two hours which prevented the flames from damaging the other vehicles.

No leads are excluded, not even malicious ones . In the aftermath of the fire, the Carabinieri together with their Noe colleagues carried out an initial inspection for an initial assessment of the vehicles and the area, possibly violated. No break-ins at the entrance gates. But getting inside the warehouse is not difficult. The images of the video surveillance cameras present throughout the area, visible from provincial road 34, are being sifted . According to an initial estimate, the damage would amount to around 300 thousand euros . While waiting for greater clarity on the origins of the fire, the mayor Massimo Mulas expressed his closeness to the company's managers and employees.
