Waste accumulated for months and a worrying health and hygiene situation. The large illegal landfill is located under the porticoes of a building owned by Area, one of the many social housing units between via Emanuela Loi and via Carlo Alberto dalla Chiesa, in Porto Torres. A pile of material of all sorts in a densely populated area. Today rats and insects proliferate there, an area dangerous for the health of residents. Inside are pieces of furniture, paper, plastic, construction material residues, metals, food scraps and cans.
There is a lack of civic sense and rudeness among some citizens. And the condition has become intolerable for those who live there, a space where the municipal administration has intervened several times to clean up the area. The report on the serious health and hygiene situation was made in the chamber by the municipal councilor Ico Bruzzi, the representative of Sardegna 20Venti asked for immediate intervention to clean up and, therefore, to restore the state of health safety.
"These are houses belonging to the Regional Agency for Housing - observes Mayor Massimo Mulas - therefore we will urge Area, otherwise we will intervene as an administration and then we will take action against them".
