The doors are opening for a new musical training path aimed at young pianists who come from all over Sardinia , the rest of the peninsula and from Europe .

On Thursday 29 August, at the Civic Music School “F. De André”, in Porto Torres, the 4th edition of the Piano Specialization course organized by CISM - International Center for Musical Studies - in collaboration with the Civic Music School “F. De André” and the Musica e Dintorni Association will begin.

The course will conclude with a final concert featuring the students who won prizes in the "Soloist with Orchestra" competition , an event scheduled for Thursday 5 September at 9 pm in the evocative Basilica of San Gavino .

For a week, eighteen young and very young pianists, mainly from Northern Sardinia - Porto Torres, Olbia, Stintino, Olbia, La Maddalena, Sassari - but also from the rest of Italy, as well as from Spain and Bulgaria, will have the opportunity to perfect their repertoire in a stimulating atmosphere of collaboration and comparison.

The lessons, all collective, will be held, like last year, by the masters Stefano Mancuso, Daniela Gonzalez and Filippo Maria D'Angelo , supported in this edition by the master Jeff Edes, who will direct the auditory perception laboratory for the younger students.

The type of group lesson, unlike the individual lesson, offers the possibility of a constructive comparison with other students, sharing common problems, contributing to the formation of a shared research environment.

The second edition of the “Il Solista con Orchestra” Competition will be held in conjunction with the course, offering advanced young students the opportunity to compete with a professional orchestra to perfect a solo concert.

The students will be supported by the “Ars Musicandi” orchestra under the direction of maestro Pio Salotto, professor of Orchestral Exercises at the Cagliari Conservatory of Music.

The event is made possible thanks to the contribution of the Fondazione di Sardegna.
