The Sardinia regional museum management has entrusted the design for the accessibility of the archaeological area of Turris Libisonis in Porto Torres .

A project financed with Pnrr funds amounting to 782 thousand and 608 euros. The Ortu-Pillonca architecture firm of Cagliari was awarded the design, a preparatory phase for the awarding of the contract for the works scheduled for the first months of 2024.

The intervention plan provides for the connection between the national Antiquarium Turritano museum and the entire archaeological area, with the creation of new walkways and paths, a direct passage between the two areas, internal and external, so as to combine the two visits in a synergistic way .

Other interventions concern the critical issues aimed at making all access to Turris more inclusive, with the restoration of the pedestrian bridge to make the Matzke Baths area accessible , the provision of wifi spaces, museum and staff training areas, improving the quality of visits with the implementation of consultation of collections on websites.
