The Music Festival organized by the Musicando Insieme Association in Porto Torres celebrates the summer solstice with a jazz concert scheduled for Sunday, June 21st at 8:30 pm in the Atrio Metropoli of the Basilica of San Gavino.

The event, themed "The Voice of Places," concludes the "Musicando in Città" series with a flourish, offering the public the opportunity to attend the exclusive presentation of "Quadri di Quartiere," the new recording project by the Barranco Quartet. Singer Pina Muroni, accompanied by musicians Battista Giordano, Mauro Dore, and Luca Deriu, will recount a musical journey inspired by Lima's charming Barranco neighborhood, where cultures, histories, and languages converge.

The original compositions lead the listener through atmospheres ranging from Latin sounds to jazz influences, up to references of contemporary European music, creating a sonic mosaic rich in emotions and images.

For this special occasion, the Barranco 4tet will be accompanied by the Ars Musicandi 4tet, featuring Marco Ligas on violin, Maria Vicentini on violin, Donatella Parodi on viola, and Luca Carta Mantiglia on cello. Six musical events, from April to June, are part of the 2026 edition of "Musicando per la città," the classical, jazz, and pop music festival curated by artistic director Donatella Parodi.
