An enormous amount of waste illegally stored in the Satellite Village district, where insects and flies proliferate. It is not the suburb of Porto Torres, but one of the most populous districts of the city. The image is indecorous, the stench unbearable.

It has been like this for a few days in via Liguria, where an illicit storage of materials of all sorts reigns, from furnishings to clothing, and even organic waste, food bags wrapped in a nauseating smell. Among the heaps of material, there is also a visible toilet bowl, shelves, bedside tables, old wardrobes that someone wanted to get rid of.

There is no trace of civilization, because once the landfill has been cleaned it reforms due to recidivist behaviors that penalize residents with good civic sense. Degradation is the master, and living with it is really complicated. Yet it seems no man's land, because it is enough to take a walk in the various streets of the neighborhood to observe the bags full of plastic and other waste deposited outside the condominiums. The care and hygiene of the roads leaves something to be desired. Someone claims to have reported "the shameful situation" to the Municipality, so that it can also intervene with sanctions and to clean up a landfill that damages those who live by respecting the rules of urban decorum. They ask for an intervention of disposal and reclamation. And in these cases, photo traps would be an effective deterrent tool.
