Porto Torres: garbage truck overturns, one injured

Accident in via Ponte Romano in Porto Torres. A sanitation truck from the Sangalli company, assigned to the street sweeping service, overturned for reasons yet to be ascertained.

The passenger of the vehicle was injured and, after initial treatment by the 118 health workers, was transported by ambulance to the emergency room of Santissima Annunziata in Sassari. His condition was not serious. The driver was uninjured.

The road was blocked for over an hour. The firefighters were on site to ensure safety and the local police of Porto Torres were on site to regulate traffic.
