Used syringes, lack of services and hazardous waste, traces of decay and neglect of the Borgona district, in the heart of Porto Torres, which houses schools and archaeological sites.
The serious situation that has arisen in recent days, reported by the residents, concerns the state of danger and dirt in which the public squares and courtyards, such as the garden of the Borgona school complex, are found, with the widespread presence of waste and dangerous finds of materials used for the consumption of hard drugs.
The complaint about the state of neglect comes from the direction of the Sardinian Action Party, Porto Torres section: "The sidewalks are covered with weeds, mainly left to the care and maintenance of the residents - underlines the Psd'Az group - with poor public lighting which amplifies, especially at night, the problem of a dangerous road network, almost non-existent horizontal signs despite the fact that there is an important Parodi Theater in the area which catalyzes a considerable flow of people and cars every week ".
In the area there is a total absence of waste bins.
“It is difficult to imagine that just inside and in the vicinity of a place frequented by children, - add the Sardinians - with the presence of an important school complex such a situation will be tolerated”.
Therefore, the municipal administration is asked for immediate measures that provide for a punctual cleaning of public areas, but also the constant presence of the local police in the evening, as a deterrent to such actions and the daily presence of hard drug users. The Psd'Az section will start an itinerant tour in all the city districts in April, to listen to the critical issues of the residents and the companies that operate there and bring them to the attention of the city council.
