Boom of visitors to the exhibition of the Turritan artist Odo Tinteri, in the Turris Libisonis Portus sardiniae, the site of the ancient Roman port opened in Porto Torres for the first time to the public on the occasion of the exhibition "Migration and Man Earth".

An explosion of colors that light up the excavations that began in the civic port in 2003 and continued for twenty years, a precious discovery of great historical value for the reconstruction of the ancient city of Turris Libisonis. A prestigious area that goes well with the works of Tinteri, recently exhibited in the Palazzo della Borsa in Genoa with great public success, which deal with the theme of migrations from the point of view of an artist who was also a migrant.

«The current exhibition speaks of migration seen from within – explains Tinteri -. I don't tell the stories, as I did many years ago, but I try to enter their bodies and I too raise my broken arms to invoke help». A bright red illuminates the site, a color that gives way to a purple and the variety of green and blue colors in the painted shapes that seem to be pushed by the wind. «The place where my works are hung tells me that many people, besides the Romans, have trampled those stones brought to light», adds the artist, «I feel it as a container of lost souls, lost in nothingness. Sardinia was a hard-fought destination and Turris a welcoming port».

The exhibition, under the staircase between the Maritime Station and the South Pier, can be visited free of charge until 20 August, from 10 to 19.
