Porto Torres, a Polo in focus: it is the seventh car since the beginning of the year
The bursting of the tires woke the residents who alerted the fire brigade
Another car fire in the night in Porto Torres. Shortly after midnight the firefighters of the local detachment were busy putting out a fire, probably of malicious origin.
The flames severely damaged the front of a Volkswagen Polo parked in a square in via Lombardia, near the owner's house, in the Villaggio Satellite neighborhood. When the residents raised the alarm, the fire had already devoured much of the car.
The tongues of fire, starting from the engine compartment, and the bursting of the tires woke the inhabitants of the neighborhood who immediately reported the incident to the operations room of 115. The fire brigade team intervened immediately on the spot tamed the fire and reclaimed the area, trying to limit the damage.
On the spot also the carabinieri of the Porto Torres company who investigate the causes and do not exclude any hypothesis. This is the seventh episode of a car fire that has occurred in the city since the beginning of the year.
