Development policies of the entire economic and productive system of the very long supply chain, the fourth Nautical Fair of Sardinia increasingly projected towards international scenarios. Presented at the Yachting Club of Porto Rotondo, the showcase of boats and world brands of the sector will take place in the Marina of the village from April 30 to May 5.
Almost 1900 companies, with a total turnover of 403 million euros, the nautical sector is a central point for the development of the Island.
"Sardinia is at the centre of the Mediterranean but looks to other countries in the world, we must try to imagine the consistency of this sector, especially the production of boats - said the regional councillor for Industry, Emanuele Cani - an industry that is the one with the greatest opportunities for development".
Strengthening industrial consortia and networking them , understanding where the areas of industrial expansion could be, helping nautical companies that have less liquidity capacity, alleviating the most evident criticality of the sector, namely the professionalization of figures, the strategy presented by the councilor to reach the objective of expanding the production chain will be among the main themes addressed in the 10 talks accompanying the event.
"The fair takes place in one of the main territories of the nautical sector, where today not only shipbuilding but also intelligence is developing thanks to the launch of university courses such as the one in Naval Engineering - said the vice-governor and councilor for Budget and Programming, Giuseppe Meloni - research and innovation with respect to which the department I lead is creating conditions for companies to invest. As in the case of investment contracts with cuts from 3 to 25 million that are arousing a lot of interest, especially in the nautical sector and in this area of Sardinia".
The Fair presents itself with several novelties : 10% more companies present but above all the presence of larger boats, from 20 meters and over. The details were illustrated by the president of Cipnes, Livio Fideli, the body that organizes the event with the support of the Sardinia Region.
"The growth that has taken place in recent years, due to ever-increasing attendance, about 18,000 last year, and the presentation of new boats - he underlined - makes us think that we can start attracting an increasingly wider nautical sector. Thanks to marketing in European fairs we have managed to have 169 exhibitors and 200 boats".
Among the collateral events, the presentation of 3 books, the usual presence of the stands of the excellence of food and beverage and craftsmanship, curated by Insula , and another series of evenings that will be defined in the coming days. At the presentation, moderated by the general director of Cipnes, Aldo Carta, the Mayor of Olbia, Settimo Nizzi, the organizational coordinator of the Fair, Angelo Colombo, the junior manager of the Navy, Matteo Molinas and the Maritime Director of Northern Sardinia, Guancluca D'Agostino.
