Ten men, two women and two minors, all Algerians, were tracked down and rescued this morning by the Carabinieri of Santadi.
They were on the first beach of Porto Pino, near the parking lots. No trace, however, of the boat used to reach the coast of Sardinia.
It is not excluded that someone made it disappear before the arrival of the military: according to rumors coming from the territory, it seems that in the area there is a sort of black market for boats used for crossings, which are recovered by civilians before they are seized.
After the identification operations and the usual health checks , the migrants were accompanied, by a vehicle from an associated company and escorted by the military, to the first reception centre in Monastir.
