Breakthrough in the investigations in Porto Cervo . Mario Masala, the 40-year-old from Sassari who on Wednesday ran over and killed 76-year-old Tonino Pirastu with his van, is now under investigation for voluntary homicide .

The charge of vehicular homicide has undergone a drastic change , following what was reconstructed by investigators after the accident. In fact, it emerged that the two knew each other well: they were neighbors, an argument had arisen between them and they had even reported each other. The bone of contention – it seems – is a dispute over a border.

In light of this, the Prosecutor's Office re-evaluated the position of the man driving, defended by lawyers Giancarlo Frongia and Domenica Gala. . The victim's family members are assisted by lawyers Elisa Vacca and Ezia Orecchioni.
